Lessons Learned in Life

At some point in our lives, we think we have got our life figured out. We believe that we have achieved all the milestones of our life and have accomplished all the success. However, Life is full of opportunities, and it never fails to surprise us. Here are some lessons that I have learnt from my life:

Lesson#1: Always Help Others
Learning how to care for and help others is a crucial lesson that my life taught me as it helped me build trustworthy relationships not only in my personal but also in my professional life. My father, Mr. Rehmat Ullah Ghauri (May ALLAH Bless Him), was the man I looked upon as a mentor, and he taught me that life is all about giving. Watching him look after and support all his family and others around him, taught me this lesson at a very young age that the real meaning of life is to help and support people around you.

Lesson#2: Play Hard, Work Harder
Life is all about taking challenges and, hard work always paves the way to achieve goals. No matter what you do, when you do it, or where you do it, hard work always pays off in the end. When I was 16, I used to pay less attention to my studies, and more to physical activities. , My turning point came was when my matric exams were close, and I had to pay the exam fees. I asked my mother for the fees, but she refused, saying that you do not focus on your studies, so we cannot waste money on this. I knew my mother loved me a lot, and I was quite surprised to hear such a statement. This was the turning point for me in my life. I asked for a second chance and worked harder than ever before. This hard work resulted not only in good grades, but I also learned that no matter when you start, hard work never goes in vain.

Lesson#3: Stick to your Path
Throughout our lives, we come across people who have different pieces of advice to offer us that helped them to achieve their goals of life. You have to understand that what helped others will not necessarily help you. In order to be successful, it is imperative that you choose your own path, explore your dimensions and your capacity for hard work.

Lesson#4: Forgive and Forget
It is said, “To err is human, but to forgive is divine”.One of the best lessons I learnt in my life from my father is to forgive others. Sometimes people do not behave the way you expect them to. My father taught me to forgive people because if you keep something inside you or hold a grudge against someone, it will damage your personality and will negatively affect your life. To move forward, we must let go of the things that happened in the past. All my life, I have tried to implement this practice as much as I can because it gives you so much happiness and relief to let go of the past and to look forward to the future.

Lesson#5: Maintain a Healthy lifestyle
Living a healthy lifestyle involves following a daily workout routine, fulfilling your body’s nutritional needs, taking an adequate amount of sleep, being happy, and staying positive in all aspects of life. I have learnt to balance my daily routine by following a healthy lifestyle, and this gives me a lot of positive energy and a forward-looking approach to life
